YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER IN MEXICO
Hola! Welcome to my website. I'm Mariana Leon, a proud Mexican born in a small village in Hidalgo, part of the Otomi ethnicity. While I'm currently based in Baja, most of the time, you'll find me exploring different corners of Mexico.
My journey in photography began thanks to my mom's unwavering belief in me. She bought me my first camera in 8th grade, and from that moment on, it became an extension of myself—I took it everywhere. After completing middle and high school in Texas, I pursued studies in Sustainable Tourism and Photography in Mexico. Initially drawn to landscape and documentary photography, a turning point came when I was invited to second shoot a wedding. That experience sparked a passion, leading me to specialize in wedding photography, where I honed my skills through dedicated courses.
I owe a tremendous amount to my incredible clients. Their trust has not only allowed me to capture beautiful moments but has also taken me to numerous places, often becoming an extended stay—a journey that enriches both my work and my life.
In 2022, a friend and I embarked on an adventurous journey, hitchhiking along almost the entire Pacific coast, from San Blas Nayarit to Huatulco Oaxaca. This experience fulfilled a personal challenge and revealed the breathtaking diversity of elopement destinations throughout Mexico, not limited to just the coastline. There are truly countless stunning places waiting to be discovered.
